You will be staying in two cosy gîtes located in a wooded enclave in the heart of the Loire valley and its castles. These charming guest houses have been restored to provide a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Some history ! : In 1921, prehistorians discovered that the south Saumur region held some very interesting deposits of streaked marine-blue flint with opaline tints. However, in the Marsoleau, one may find the beautifully homogeneous blond flint. More recently, in June 1940, the Marsoleau served as a command post for the cadets of Saumur. |
